We gat we own “Kids Sehin de Darnest Thing”

It had a TV show call “Kids Say The Darnest Thing” that comedian Bill Cosby use to host. It was designed in such a way that children give natural and spontaneous responses to questions. In some way, people “learn” from de kids. It was hilarious, but after a while people realised that children could actually say de “darnest”  thing. That somehow reduce de “element of surprise”. In other words, after a while people wasn’t surprise at what some of de children said. Is de same way people here not totally surprise at what some sehin, even though “darnest” is a soft word fuh describe dem “verbiage”.
Plenty people recently learn that de folks living in Linden getting electricity almost free for however long! That came out during de budget presentation as efforts to bring de rates there in line with what everybody else in de whole country paying was tabled in de House. Everybody else was surprise at de rates there. David agreed it must raise. De people protest. David renege. Now de “key” party man joining in. He sehin de authorities “vindictive” fuh raise de rates and seh de “hiking” could lead to “social unrest”. What he ain’t telling dem who listening to he is that de increase gon be gradual over a long time.
Everybody want fuh know why dem must pay so high rates and de people in de mining town getting it almost free! Dem want fuh know why de “key” man talking about “social unrest” when all that is propose is fuh everybody across de nation pay de same rate, meking a level playing field fuh all! Dem also sehin that de “key” and “ Hands Up” party did campaign fuh a level playing field fuh all Guyanese and now asking how come bringing de rates in line could lead to “social unrest”!. Everybody want fuh know why de two parties treating people there different over others. Dem sehin that gat to be de “darnest” thing! Dem also sehin giving what de same two parties sehin about de electricity rates in Linden and other things, Guyana could start it own version of “Kids Say The Darnest Thing”, even though people would no longer be surprise at what they say! De “mukracker” owner can be de host; after all, look at what he does be sehin! Ting-a-ling-a-ling… friend tell friend… mattie tell mattie!
