Two bodies found on Issano trail

Police have dispatched a team of investigators into the Region Seven mining district of Issano, where two decomposed bodies were said to have been found on Saturday, February 26th.

Up to press time, the team was still in the area and investigators could not provide an update with regards to the incident. It is unclear whether the bodies bore marks of violence, and investigators said that, based on the state of decomposition, only a post-mortem examination would be able to determine this. Police said in a release that the bodies were found along the trail at 72 Miles, Issano.

Issano has been the scene of many criminal activities in the past years. Only last year, a miner accused of stealing raw gold was beaten to death at 14 Miles, Issano.

According to the reports, the miner was working with a dredge owner when it was alleged that he had stole some raw gold. He was severely beaten by persons in the mining camp where he worked, and he subsequently died.
