A Trinidad fugitive wanted in connection with the murders of three Americans at a Boston party has been held by local law enforcement officers.
Keron Pierre, 24, of Richplain Road, Diego Martin, appeared before acting Chief Magistrate Mark Wellington in the Port-of-Spain District (Eighth Magistrates’) Court yesterday, on a warrant for three counts of murder.
Pierre, also called “Snaggy,” a former US resident, is alleged to have murdered Anthony Peoples, 19, of Boston; Shacora Gaines, 20, of Brockton; and Chantal Palmer, 20, of Brockton, at 41 Mt Ida Road, around on March 29, 2009. He is also accused of attempting to murder Sharon Headly, as well as having a firearm without a user’s licence.
Cpl Herman Narace of the Interpol Trinidad division, executed a provisional warrant on the suspect late Monday. Pierre was arrested at Richplain Road on September 7, by officers from the Western Division who later handed the prisoner to Interpol detectives.
On January 12, this year, Pierre was indicted by a Suffolk Court Grand Jury on three counts of first-degree murder.
Another man named Nigel A Nichols, 24, was also indicted that day as an accessory after the fact, in the murders of the three party-goers. The three were shot and killed when tempers flared during an argument outside a party in Dorchester, on March 29, 2009.
They were reportedly sitting in a car outside the party when the gunman approached them and opened fire. Gaines and Peoples were found dead inside the car while Palmer later died at Boston Medical Centre.
