As promised, patrons were not disappointed after they stormed the Guyana National Stadium on the night of August 13 to witness, what can be described as “one of the most energetic concerts,” which featured queen of rap, Eve and R&B heartthrob, Trey Songz.

First to take to the stage was rapper, Don Gialiani, who performed his signatures songs “Dougie remix” and “London Girl” among others. His performance was followed by Guyana’s own Timeka Marshall, who also belched out some of her hits, which also added some vibes and charm especially for the ladies.

Twenty minutes into her performance, she requested that cricketer, Dwayne Bravo join her on stage which literally sent shock waves across the stadium. Bravo was well received by the huge crowd as they went berserk when he started to sing.

The ladies were uncontrollable so was his cricket colleagues who were very supportive. Decked in a denim suite, he showcased the other side of himself that no one knew about. His songs surrounded his sport and had he had the curvy moves to go with his rhythms.

This double team performance made way for international artiste, Eve. By looking at the still pictures which were shown on the giant screens, the crowd was out of control. The hosts for the proceedings, Kerwin Bollers and DJ Sean from Fusions Internationals took the honour in introducing the talented rapper and actress.

Dressed in a black, spandex pants and a laced top, with a pair of red shoes, Eve appeared on stage all hyped and ready to perform. She was backed by her dancers who were decked in tiger print leggings and tops, complemented with black high heel shoes.

The crowd roared as Eve appeared on stage. Her performances include some of her hit songs and also hyped up the crowd with a few of Jamaica’s Mavado and Vibez Kartel tunes. When she spilled out tunes such as “Rough Rider Anthem”; ” That’s The Way I Like It” and other popular singles, the Guyana National Stadium rocked.

Her energetic performance lasted for more than 30 minutes but when she indicated that she was going to perform her last song, the crowd screamed in disapproval.

They wanted more of Eve, who from indication, performed excellently. Eve’s performance made way for the featured act of the evening, 27-year-old, Trey Songz.

But, the more than 5000 patrons which were mostly women had to wait a little longer as the bands were interchanged. Every still photo that was displayed of the young and handsome artiste produced screams that echoed through the air.

Suddenly the lights faded and drums started to roll, which indicated that the young heartthrob was about to make his way to the stage. His voice, sent shock waves throughout the field and the ladies were screaming and shouting, waving anything that they had in their hands in welcoming him on stage.

His seductive and charming voice quietly and melodiously spilled through the speakers.

Dressed in a short kakis pants and a white jersey with a pair of boots, he sang some of his tunes from his various albums.

He also sang, 50 Cents’ song “In da Club” which had the crowd going wild.

During his performance, he threw a few of his rags into the crowd, which he had used to wipe is face. Minutes later, he took off his jersey and also threw it into the crowd, but after the scrambling, a lucky young lady ended up with it and promised that she will never wash it.

His one hour performance continued but while, the ladies were pampered by the R&B songster, most of them attempted to climb the speakers to get a touch of him. They scrambled upon each other to touch but their efforts proved futile.

He then requested a young lady to join him on stage but after a few refusals, one lucky woman was assisted up where she was given a hug, kiss on the cheek and more so, was serenaded during which she was presented with the torn vest and escorted to back stage by the superstar’s body guard.

After this, he passionately sang a few other songs and the curtains came down to the Jamzone International Night 2011. His performance was nothing but perfection.
