TravelSpan: Celebrating 25 years of service to customers

On June 07, 2019, TravelSpan Vacations Inc., celebrated its 25th year in business. Established in 1994, Travelspan has operated L1011, Boeing 737, 757 and 767 flights from both JFK International in New York and Hollywood international Ft Lauderdale Airports in the US to destinations like, Haiti, The Dominican Republic, Guyana, Grenada and Trinidad & Tobago.
TravelSpan has amassed a vast portfolio and built a name for itself in the travel industry. Over the company’s 25-year history, TravelSpan, was built on the premise of 3 layers;
• Over 10 Travel Agencies
• Hotel & Tour Division
• And Charter & Schedule Airline
By building the company in 3 layers with a diverse income stream, Travelspan had the unique ability to move in and out of different markets as circumstances, demand and economy change.
Over the years the travel industry has seen many changes, while many agencies were forced to downsize or closed their doors due to the internet boom, TravelSpan however, positioned itself by launching its fully bookable website travelspan.com in 2007. This website allowed TravelSpan to market its airfare, niche tours and packages to possible online customers, while maintaining its brick and mortar offices to continue to serve all clients from all walks of life.
TravelSpan has always been a company for the community, and when it was needed, TravelSpan filled up a B737 with relief supplies for those affected by Hurricane Ivan in 2004 in Grenada and again by the floods in Guyana in 2005. TravelSpan humanitarian outreach did not stop there, it provided aid to Africa, offered a Mothers’ Day Competition, and even sponsored an orphanage flights which brought heartfelt joy and appreciation to 150 orphans.
Travelspan has been a trend setter with customer giveaways, in-office promotions, in-flight giveaways and community-sponsored event giveaways, TravelSpan has and continues to offer monthly prizes to its customers; this is evident on our social media platforms and on the company’s website, travelspan.com where you can view past winners.
TravelSpan has also established a destination package and tours department, selling all-inclusive destinations like Dominican Republic, Mexico, Jamaica and the greater Caribbean Islands. TravelSpan also launched its tours department with escorted tours to some exotic destinations like Dubai and India.
TravelSpan has partnered with its related companies such as Amral’s Travel; which has 4 locations in Trinidad, and Travelspan GT, also with 4 locations in Guyana.
This relationship strongly benefits our customers, particularly when they travel to Trinidad and Guyana and there are flight changes or reconfirmation. TravelSpan Customers can book with any of our partner companies and get service or assistance at any of its offices, basically, the concept is that its customers can purchase a ticket in 1 office or online and get service in any of its other offices locally or overseas.
TravelSpan has a management team, that when combined, has well over 100 years of travel industry experience. The company’s dedicated and knowledgeable travel professionals are ready and willing to help its customers with any vacation plans.
