Star of the week: Miss American Coed Davina Seoparsan

Guyanese-American Miss Davina Seoparsan, from Glen Allen, Virginia, has been crowned Miss American Coed in the junior teen category of the MAC Pageants national competition. In addition to a crown, banner, trophy and flowers, Miss Seoparsan earned a US$2,500 cash award, two admission tickets to Walt Disney World and a travel allowance to next year’s MAC Pageants national competition where she will crown her successor.

Davina is the president of her school’s Diversity club, and is a member of several other clubs. She is so passionate about the platform of Teen Depression and Suicide Awareness, that she has created a non-profit organisation called “Together We Can Celebrate Life”, to raise awareness of this issue and has authored a booklet on the topic. Davina’s ambition is to become an attorney, specialising in Juvenile Law and to eventually become a motivational speaker.
