Ramotar congratulates Chinese leader Xi Jinping on new post

President Donald Ramotar has extended congratulations to newly-elected general secretary of the General Committee of the Communist Party of China and incoming president of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping.
Ramotar in his message said, “On behalf of the government and people of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana and on my own behalf, I wish to extend warm congratulations to you on your election as general secretary of the General Committee of the Communist Party of China and incoming president of the People’s Republic of China.
“I wish you every success as you continue to pursue the goals and objectives for the further economic and social development of your country and its people.
“Guyana and China enjoy excellent relations and I look forward to working with you towards the greater preservation of these bonds and the promotion of greater cooperation and collaboration between our countries at both the bilateral and multilateral levels.
“Please accept my best wishes for your good health and for the continued progress and prosperity of the people of the People’s Republic of China”.
