The Guyana Olympic Association’s (GOA) Olympic Day Under- 15 Badminton Championship will be staged on June 25 at the Queen’s College Badminton Courts, commencing at 10:30h. Entries close on June 24 and can be submitted to any member of the Guyana Badminton Association.
The categories to be contested are Boys’ and Girls’ Singles, Boys’ and Girls’ Doubles, and Mixed Doubles. Among the favourites to win their respective categories are Narayan Ramdhani and Greer Jackson.

Meanwhile, the GBA 15-member Junior team will be attending the XX Pan American Junior Badminton Championships, to be held in Jamaica from July 25 to August 01, 2011.
The team is currently in training, and will take part in the Under-11, 13, 15, 17 and 19 events. Guyana won a Bronze medal last year in the championship, which was held in the Dominican Republic, with over 17 countries participating.
