The US Embassy in Georgetown has generously donated a collection of legal materials to the National Library to add to the existing law collection in an effort to facilitate and provide a means to research Guyana’s laws, and criminal and civil judicial procedures.
The materials include new copies of the Laws of Guyana, and various titles from noted authors such as Harvey McGregor and DJ Galligan.
The Embassy also donated a computer, printer, and other materials in hopes that the donation will be of good use to researchers, students, and others interested in conducting legal research.
They can be accessed at the library on Main and Church Streets from Mondays to Fridays between the hours 09:00 and 17:15, and on Saturdays from 09:00h to 14:45h.
