The six delegates participating in the Miss Guyana World pageant slated for July 31 at the National Cultural Centre wowed the audience on evening of July 22 during the swimsuit competition held at the Pegasus poolside.
The girls were Soyini Fraser, Arti Cameron, Seistra Thremiel Allen, Utieka John, Celeste Angelique Dolphin and Ruqayyah Boyer. Shanessa James who was forced to discontinue participating in the competition, was nowhere in sight.
The Miss Guyana World delegates were initially introduced to the public two Fridays ago. The programme started one hour late, and again, at the swimsuit competition last Friday evening, the situation was not much different.
Prior to the competition, the gathering was entertained by Lavita Prescott and Don Giuliani, a member of the First Born Family, along with members of the Denza Family.
Their performance drew mixed reactions from members of the audience; as while some were pleased, others were very critical.
Nevertheless, members of the Majestic’s Band were rated as the best.
The contestants all looked splendid as they appeared in their blue swimwear designed by Rhonda Dunbar.
The delegates flaunted their bodies, showcasing what they have to offer come pageant night.
While it was difficult for the judges, it was evident that the contestants were well groomed for the spectacle. From all indications, the favourite was Arti Cameron, followed by Soyini Fraser and Boyer.
Score of people turned up at the Pegasus Poolside to witness the six girls not only showcasing their physique, but also their intelligence and beauty.
