Miss Guyana Princess of the World, Soyini Fraser, placed in the top nine of the Miss Princess of the World pageant held in the Czech Republic at the TOP HOTEL, Praha, on Saturday evening, October 1. The other finalists were Czech Republic, Hungary, Mexico, Slovakia, Philippines, Malta, Spain and Vietnam.
Miss Guyana also copped the Best National Costume prize and was overly excited when called to be among the top nine contenders for the coveted title.
However, Miss Mexico, Carmen Isabel Hernandez, copped the coveted title from the 40 other contestants; while the first runner- up was Miss Michaela Karaková from Slovakia; the second runner-up was Cao Hoang Yen from Vietnam; and the third runner-up was Diana Sunshine Rademann from the Philippines.
The Miss Talent award went to Szonja Dudik from Hungary.
The gala evening began with a short retrospective of the history of the contest, Miss Princess of the World, which basically stated that the uniqueness of the event lies in the reality that it not only evaluates parameters such as beauty or measurements; but evaluates communication skills, brilliance, and natural charm.
This was followed by introduction of all the beautiful girls in their astonishing outfits to the jury and public. The show began with the first discipline, which was a fashion show; the girls wore gowns created by the Czech designer Ludìk Hanák. The hot moments came just moments later, as soon as the swimsuit promenade started. And right after that, the nine remaining super finalists were declared.
The last discipline the nine girls had to face was the most feared one – the interviews.
In this session, nothing can be hidden behind beauty, gorgeous smiles, dangerous curves or overall fabulous looks. After this last discipline, it was all up to the jury to decide who would be Miss Princess of the World 2011.
The jury comprised celebrities, including important persons from show business, as for example in this concrete case, Felix Slovácek.
Furthermore, among the jury could also be found ambassadors, national organisations and very important guests.
