Mining company plugging US$ 6M into expansion

As the global demand for gold remains high, Azimuth Resources Limited has secured US$ 6 million to continue the company’s resource expansion and prospect drilling at its West Omai gold project in Guyana.

Azimuth Resources Limited Chief Operations Officer Paul Criddle and Natural Resources and Environment Minister Robert Persaud

This was revealed by newly-appointed Azimuth Resources Limited Chief Operations Officer Paul Criddle during a meeting on Thursday with Natural Resources and Environment Minister Robert Persaud, to discuss plans and the future of the company’s investment in Guyana’s mining sector.
Criddle explained that the additional capital provides funds to significantly advance work programmes at the company’s gold exploration projects in Guyana, and provides working capital and financial security for the company in a turbulent global economic environment.
Minister Persaud welcomed the company’s expansion programme, and assured of government’s continued support for small- and medium-scale mining in Guyana.
