The members of the Shri Shakti Mariammaa Temple located at 105-20 101 Ave, Ozone Park, N.Y. in a released expressed their thanks to all the Donors, Supporters and over 225 Devotees who attended the Grand Opening Services on Saturday/Sunday November 19th & 20th. According to the organizers, their support made the inauguration of the temple a Grand one!

In addition, the members expressed how grateful they were to Pandit/Pujari Rickey Sammy and all the Pujari’s from the Shree Mariyamma Temple in Brampton, Canada who worked tirelessly around the clock and provided profound enthusiasm during the opening services. “Their work was simply exemplary and inspirational.”
The organizers said that the Shri Shakti Mariammaa Temple is proud to have Pandit/Pujari Rickey Sammy as their Spiritual Advisor. “He’s a life-long servant of the Universal Mother and has been a practicing Pujari for over 30 years and previously served as an apprentice to Ram Subiah Kutayiah, Pujari of the renowned Mibicuri Devi Mandir in Black Bush Polder, Guyana.” Pandit/Puajri Rickey is fluent in Hindi and is also a practicing Hindu Pandit.
In addition, “Pujari Rickey is joined by Pujari Raymond Kutayiah, who is a third-generation Madrassi and the son of the late-Pujari Ram Subiah. Pujari Raymond will be officiating over the services every Sunday at 11 a.m. Pujari Rickey and Pujari Raymond are supported by a group of deeply committed devotees of the Universal Mother and they hope to continue the traditions of their ancestors.”
