Minister Manickchand has been a strong supporter of the mission’s work. Her passion for the welfare of children has led her to express deep satisfaction with the NYGM 2011 mission. Minister Manickchand also offered suggestions to the organisation for future missions to Guyana.
“I’m really honoured here tonight for being gifted with a plaque for doing something I’m privileged to do,” Minister Manickchand said.
Acknowledging that she could not have done it alone, Minister Manickchand commended and expressed gratitude to all the workers whose efforts contributed to her being singled out for the honour.
NYGM is a non-profit non-governmental organisation incorporated in New York. Its mission is fourfold in nature: to provide cultural, educational, medical and humanitarian services to countries within the Caribbean, New York, and Guyana.
