Lusignan Sports Club defended their Enterprise Busta Cricket Festival title in emphatic style by whipping Strathavon by 110 runs in the T20 final at the Enterprise ground on Sunday last.
The champions batted first and racked up a solid 213-5 in the final which was reduced to a 17- over affair. National lefthander Krishna Deosaran led the way with a fine 58, while the in-form pair of Harrinarine Hira and Vishnu Ramjeet scored 39 and 37 respectively.
G. Hemraj (2-43) and P. Chotie (2-34) were the leading bowlers from Strathavon, who were shot out for 103 in reply.
Hemraj returned to topscore with 23, while Man-of-the-Match Rajendra Naikbarran snared 4-15 with his off-spin.
In the lead-up to the final, Lusignan defeated Unity by 97 runs and Buxton by 32 runs. Strathavon’s path to the final was made easy after earning a bye in the first round and a four- wicket win over Enterprise Busta Sports Club in the semi-finals.

Semi-final two: Lusignan defeated Buxton by 32 runs.
