Laparkan was represented at the recent Health and Education Relief Organization (HERO) awards banquet held at Tavern on the Park in Queens, New York. At that banquet, the Chief Executive Officer of the Georgetown Public Hospital, Mr. Michael Khan, and Founder and Leader of the Guyana Chronicle Atlantic Symphony Orchestra, Mr. Rudy Bishop, were among the awardees.

HERO, formerly HERG, is comprised of several Guyanese and other Caribbean doctors and medical personnel working in the United States. The organization mounts medical and medical education missions to the Caribbean each year.

“Laparkan congratulates HERO on its dedicated work and contributions to the health sector in the Caribbean over the past 10 years, and looks forward to working closely with this organization in the future,” said Laparkan’s Associate Vice President Gavin Khan, in an invited comment.
