Kali tourists very impressed with India

Tourists from the Kali Travel and Tours group returned from India last week, all of them very impressed with the once-in-a-lifetime experience they encountered.
Group members say the entire trip was captivating, beginning with the comfortable and relaxing Air India flight from JFK to Delhi and visits to temples and other historical sites.
The trip takes place twice every year where persons get the opportunity to visit various sites and experience the real India and is coordinated by India accredited Tour Operator Ramesh Kalicharran, formerly of Essequibo in Guyana.
In particular, the most recent visit to India by the group was very significant as members got the opportunity to celebrate Diwali with other locals in the city of Jaipur.
Additionally, members of the group were entertained throughout the 17-day tour by Guyanese singing sensation Seeta Panday and local artistes within India. Seeta was accompanied by her two daughters Meera and Kajal who were visiting India for the first time. Seeta and the group said they had a wonderful experience in India; one they would always cherish.
When asked what she was looking forward to seeing the most in India, Seeta said, “the Taj Mahal.” She was told that the Taj Mahal has a great love story behind its construction, built by Emperor Shah Jahan as a testament of his love for Mumtaz, his wife.

Tour group members say they were very impressed by the architecture and the selection of places they visited while in India. They also admired the cool, fresh, running water of the famous, sacred River Ganges.  The river made them reminisce a lot about growing up in Guyana and hearing stories from elders. They said the aarti ceremonies at the Ganges and at an Ashram were events to cherish. They noted that Seeta added ‘spice’ and variety to the tour with her beautiful singing.
Kali is currently organising trips to celebrate Holi in Jaipur in March and Diwali in November 2013 and many persons have already shown in interest.
