It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Hundreds of children accompanied by their parents and guardians gathered at Rahaman’s Park, Mc Doom, East Bank Demerara, on December 2 to witness the Seventh Annual Christmas Tree Light Up.
Prime Minster Samuel Hinds told the gathering that Christmas this year is celebrated at a time when Guyana’s economy is doing well. He said that the country has recorded significant growth in rice, gold and sugar production, and Guyanese will have the opportunity to experience the best Christmas ever this year.
He urged the gathering to use the season to change their negative attitude, forgive those who offended them, and share with the less fortunate.
