Warren McKay

Warren McKay continued his excellent form this season by copping the top podium spot in the feature 30-lap Open race at the fifth annual George Cumberbatch Memorial cycling event around the inner circuit of the National Park on Sunday morning.

McKay, who finished second to Team Coco’s Yosmani Pol at the recently held Independence Three Stage race, copped three prime prizes on his way to beating Alonzo Greaves into the runner-up spot.

Junior Niles, Robin Persaud, Albert Philander, and Ian Jackson rounded off the top six in that order. Enzo Matthews bagged four prime prizes, while there was one each for Niles, Persaud, and Jackson. McKay was also dominant in the Categories 1 and 2 (10 laps) as he defeated Eric Sankar and Robin Persaud in that order. Categories 3 and 4 (10 laps) were won by Philander, with Walter Grant-Stuart and Reginald Mendis finishing in second and third positions respectively.
