The highly exciting grass track series will have its next instalment on October 29 at the Bath Settlement Community Centre Ground, West Berbice.
After rounds at the Anna Regina Community Centre ground and at the aforementioned ground, the trilling action returns under the flagship of Banks DIH under their Banks Beer brand.
Organiser Sheik Yassen told this newspaper on Wednesday, that preparations are well on course for another crowd pleaser. Yassen contended that the sport continues to grow and given the enormous crowd which came to witness the action when a day/night version of the event was held in Anna Regina, he expects the Berbicians to come out in their numbers again.
While not confirming the number of riders slated to participate, he disclosed that it will be more than 25 including the likes of Andrew Wong, Steven Nobrega and Kenrick Spellen.
There are 10 races carded for the day, five of which are professional (12 laps each), three for the novice riders (10 laps each) and two for the newcomers (10 laps each).”
When the event was last held at the Bath Settlement ground in April, Spellen riding under the banner of R & Ganesh Mining Enterprise took the Champion rider of the day with 60 points. Spellen was followed closely by Junior Da Silva with 50 points and Stephen Nobrega 30.
