… Miss World Pageant slated for December 8
Guyanese are urged to vote for Miss World Guyana as the Miss World pageant has launched its online Head-to-Head Challenge. As such, Miss World Guyana, Ambika Ramraj, is seeking the assistance of her Guyanese fans to cast their votes in favour of her. The voting is done in a four-way medium. First on the official Miss World Page at Https://Missworld.com/#/contestants/5408.
In addition, persons can vote on Facebook by liking, sharing, following and commenting on posts done by Miss Guyana World. Simply go on Facebook and click on Miss World Guyana. Ramraj is currently in China preparing for the competition slated for December 8.
In that competition, more than 120 delegates from around the world will be fiercely competing for the coveted title. From all reports, the delegates have all arrived in the host country, and have already started to heat up the international stage. The other two media is for persons residing in China. They can cast their votes by going to China’s Model Power Live Vote or download Mobstar.
The 19-year-old beauty ambassador was crowned Miss World Guyana 2018 after outshining nine other contestants at the Guyana Pegasus Hotel in May. Ramraj, during the local leg of the pageant, promoted metal health issues using sport and physical activities. She will nevertheless promote the same issue during her ‘Beauty with a Purpose’ project which she will present to the Miss World Committee and judges during the preliminary competitions in the international pageant.
Ramraj departed Guyana last month but spent a few weeks in New York and the United Kingdom before heading for China.
During her time in the USA and UK, she underwent training in various aspects such as pageant/catwalk walking, talent, etiquette and others. She had however, promised to represent the Golden Arrowhead with pride and dignity but more importantly, she was optimistic of bringing the title home.
