A Guyanese man, who dreams of riding around the world, met with Region Two’s Regional Chairman, Davanand Ramdatt, at Charity, Essequibo Coast, Region 2 (Pomeroon-Supenaam).
Carlos Anthony Williams, who is popularly known as “Lucky B”, resides at Canal Number One, West Bank Demerara.
According to Williams, his bicycle, which he named “Carlos Tall Cycle”, is his message to the world that “you can climb above your problems”. He added that his bicycle is a compilation of two and was designed to look difficult to ride.
Further, he said that his bicycle tells the story of life. It represents his perseverance to motivate people. He aims to let people around the world know that anything is possible despite the difficulty. He added that anyone can do it as long as they pursue their dream.
Williams added that he has already visited the neighbouring country Suriname and wanted to make Europe his next trip. He said that because of winter, he decided to trek around Guyana before making that planned trip.
Among some of the places he visited on the Essequibo Coast was the New Opportunity Corps at Onderneeming where he had a chance to speak to the juveniles there and lecture that they can live their dreams and beware of a life of crime.
