Golden Jaguars’ make big leap in FIFA ranking

The ‘Golden J a g u a r s’ , Guyana’s senior national football team, have jumped 19 places up the FIFA Coca Cola World Ranking to 97 in the latest ranking released on October 19. One month before, the ‘Golden Jaguars’ were placed at 116, but a string of positive results has seen the country breaking through the 100 barrier. Spain maintained their billing as the number one team in the world. Guyana is placed at number 11 in CONCACAF with Mexico occupying the top spot, while the Guyanese are fourth in the CFU which has Jamaica (50th in the world) in the top spot with Trinidad and Tobago (79th in the world) in second, and Antigua and Barbuda (90th in the world) in third spot.
