Excitement building for CPL 2016 – Harper

Roger Harper, Head Coach of Guyana Amazon Warriors said the CPL is now just a few weeks away and there’s great excitement from everyone within the organisation.

“Guyanese supporters are incredibly proud of their team and their support on match days makes Providence Stadium one of the greatest fortresses in the Caribbean. To help us achieve success on the field this year we need big crowds and we are going to try our best to play our part and aim to give our public a team to be proud of. I hope to see as many fans as possible again this year.”

Guyana Amazon Warriors Home Fixtures (all times local): 7 July – Jamaica Tallawahs (19:00 Hrs), 9 July – St. Kitts & Nevis Patriots (12:00 Hrs), 10 July – Trinbago Knight Riders (19:00 Hrs), 12 July – St. Lucia Zouks (19:00 Hrs).

The fourth edition of the tournament opens on June 29 when Trinbago Knight Riders host the St. Lucia Zouks at the Queen’s Park Oval from 21:00 Hrs.

The Guyana Amazon Warriors open their 2016 campaign on the road to the St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots at Warner Park on Thursday June 30 at 20:00 Hrs. The Trinbago Knight Riders are the defending champions.
