The executives of Guyana Fashion Week climaxed their week of activities commemorating Water Week 2013 with an elite open air fashion festival at Seven Ponds in the Botanical Gardens in Georgetown.
It was a commendable collaboration with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, together with the Environmental Protection Agency and Guyana Fashion Week (GFW).
The evening was not only a flamboyant fashion gala but a forum to raise awareness of the potential water crisis.
In an interview with Guyana Times Sunday Magazine , GFW CEO Sonia Noel stated that the designers’ creativity at the event was expertly showcased as they presented their collections in harmony with the theme of water conservation. She added that the designers are currently busy preparing for GFW 2013, scheduled for October 20-27.
