…Judge urges him to seek forgiveness
“You say are a devoted Catholic; I hope you pray to God and ask forgiveness.” Those were the admonishing words of Justice Simone Morris-Ramlall as she handed down two life imprisonment sentences to Michael Abrams after he was found guilty of child rape at the High Court in Georgetown on Wednesday. Abrams, who is said to be in his early 50s, had a stone faced countenance when the 12-member mixed jury unanimously found him guilty on two counts of rape of a child under 16, who was said to be a female relative.
