Guyana asks Eastern Airlines to post US$450,000 bond before commencing operations

Guyana Govt approves salary hike for public servants

In the coming year 2020, public servants will get a salary increase, as Government has approved an across-the-board salary hike, including retroactive payouts. President David Granger made the announcement that the increases would be tax free and retroactive from January 2019. Professor John Edward Greene was named as the new Chancellor of the University of Guyana (UG) putting an end to the year-long search following the end of Chancellor Emeritus Nigel Harris’ term.
