Representing Jamaica will be David Summerbell, Peter Ray, Andre Anderson and Stefan Chin. The Bajan line-up features Doug and Mark Maloney and Roger Mayers, while racing for Trinidad will be Ravi Singh.

The upcoming racing event will mark the 56th Anniversary of motor racing in Guyana.

President of the Guyana Motor Racing and Sports Club, John Carpenter, said that given the fact that this is the final event of the 2011 calendar year; the Caribbean Championships is an opportunity for Guyana to take the title. “This is a chance for us in our own backyard to seize the Championship of the Caribbean and I expect an extra effort from our drivers. If we have the full support from our fans, as well as the facilities, then this sport can grow tremendously”, Carpenter noted.
