Caribbean Airlines signs cargo agreement for direct service to Guyana

PAS Cargo of the United States signed a General Sales and Service Agreement (GSSA) with Caribbean Airlines to market cargo directly out of the United States. The agreement took effect on August 15. As GSSA of Caribbean Airlines Limited cargo, PAS will be marketing CAL Cargo throughout the major markets across the U.S. PAS on August 16 said the focus of the agreement will be for PAS to deploy its direct sales and marketing offices within the U.S. to garner air cargo for CAL Cargo flights operating out of Miami into Jamaica, Barbados, Trinidad, and Guyana.

The GSSA comes at a time when CAL Cargo is expanding its direct freighter service with a weekly cargo flight on Wednesdays to Guyana commencing August 24. Caribbean Airlines Limited in collaboration with Air Jamaica already offers multiple direct freighter flights weekly into Jamaica, Barbados, and Trinidad.

Michael McLeod, Sales Manager, North America for Caribbean Airlines (Cargo) Limited, in an invited comment said “this is a timely alliance that is expected to expand the marketing reach and increase cargo volumes significantly for CAL Cargo as it provides a direct presence in the core Caribbean communities and commercial centres across the U.S.A.” PAS Cargo U.S.A.
