Cambio dealer attacked, robbed in front of his home

A cambio dealer was on Sunday evening attacked in front of his Meadow Bank, Greater Georgetown home by gunmen who relieved him of his jewellery and cash.
Trevor Benn, 51, had just arrived home around 18:00h when the incident occurred.
According to acting Police Public Relations Officer Shivpersaud Bacchus, Benn was about to enter his yard when he was ambushed by two unmasked gunmen who demanded that he hand over his valuables.
The dealer complied, handing over some G$450,000 and a gold chain to the men, who then fled the scene.
The matter was reported to the Police. However, no one was held in connection with the robbery.
It was revealed that CCTV footage near the area is currently being reviewed by investigators.
