Beach football team selected for TT championships

The Guyana Beach Football Association (GBFA) selected a 16-man team to represent Guyana at the third annual Bago Sports Beach football championships, scheduled from November 2-4 in Trinidad and Tobago. The team reads: Abdulla Hamid (coach), Travis Bess, Jermaine Grandison, Keon Sears, Michael Wilson, Ralph Alexander, Colric Beckles, Ron Fiedkou, Marlon Benjamin, Colwyn David, John Waldron, and Marmarlaque Davidson.

The standbys are Jamaal Harvey, Andel Mendonza, Steve Brewley, and Trevorn Archibald.
The players are currently engaged in vigorous training at the Bayroc Community Centre ground, and will play their first official practice match on Saturday from 16: 00 hours against El Dorado Beach Football Club.
Meanwhile, Star Party Rental made a contribution to the GBFA on Tuesday to help in their preparation for the trip. The donation was made to tournament coordinator, Rollin Tappin, at the company’s office on Craig Street in Campbeville, Georgetown.
