Annual Wedding Expo set for April 5-7

The highly anticipated Annual Wedding Expo is slated for April 5 to 7 at Roraima’s Duke Lodge at Duke Street, Kingston, Georgetown.
The event will see the introduction of a complete wedding package for prospective brides and grooms.
This year for the first time, the Wedding Expo will include an actual marriage ceremony. Couples will be invited through applications to enter the “Race to the Altar” competition, to be selected as the wedding couple.
It is no secret that Roraima Airways has been at the forefront of lobbying for changes in the law that would encourage wedding tourism in Guyana. The Roraima Group continues to believe that Guyana can be a worthwhile destination for couples seeking a unique wedding experience.
Last year’s event saw in excess of 5000 patrons attending the spectacle. Event planning, photography, bridal wear, invitations, jewellery and luxury transportation exhibits were showcased.
This year as usual, there will be exhibits from Caribbean territories, including Jamaica, Barbados, and Trinidad and Tobago.
Among the local businesses participating last year, were commercial banks and furniture stores.
