Model and designer Meleesa Payne’s and designer Jason Shurland’s collaboration to produce a line of stylish clothing for men and women at Guyana Fashion Weekend 2013 proved to be one of the most fashionable highlights at the gala event.
The collaborative effort produced a collection of chic ensemble perfect for any occasion- fashionable jackets, suits for men and women and dresses for every body type.
“One of my recent collections, Beach Rise, under my label Expressions, was showcased at GFW 2013. I love working with colours, colour blocking and mix-matches. My swimsuits are comfortable and can fit any body type. I did some high waist cuts to include pregnant women and mothers, and I also have cuts to suit children. I am grateful to Ms Sonia Noel, GFW’s CEO, for allowing me the opportunity to showcase on the big stage twice now. I was also featured with Jason Shurland who is an amazing young man. He has a very creative mind, and together we designed jackets, dresses and pants for males and females. It was delightful experience,” Meleesa recalled in an interview with Guyana Times Sunday Magazine.
