A middle-aged man was on Wednesday arraigned on sexual assault charges when he appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts.
Robin Marks, 50, of Norton Street, Georgetown, was not required to plead to the charges which stated that in February, he sexually assaulted an 11-year-old child on two occasions by touching her breasts and kissing her on the lips.
After committing the acts, he attempted to bribe her to secrecy by providing cash. The matter was reported to the Police after the young girl confided in her grandmother that the accused had been interfering with her.
The suspect was released on G$100,000 bail for each charge, and the matter was adjourned until July 6, 2018.
