The Education Ministry has announced the decision to close public schools on March 2, 2020, in order to facilitate the usage of those public buildings as polling places for the General and Regional Elections. Gold medallion, stamps launched for Guyana’s 50th Republic Anniversary

In celebrating Guyana’s 50th Republic Anniversary, commemorative stamps and limited-edition gold medallions have been launched for the occasion. One year after being wanted for rape, 26-year-old Esmund Adams appeared before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan on Monday, where he was released on bail.
