Miami-bound AA flight aborted after tyres damaged by runway lights at CJIA

Another American Airlines flight was delayed on Wednesday morning after the aircraft suffered a blowout from a raised runway light at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA), leaving over 100 passengers stranded. The incident occurred just after midnight as American Airlines flight AA1512 was taxiing down the runway for takeoff to Miami. A Nabacalis, East Coast Demerara (ECD) man attacked and stabbed his wife to death on Wednesday following an argument over an extramarital affair. After killing his wife, the miner then attempted to take his own life. Dead is Vinetta Headley-James. Lindener to face judge, jury over murder of teen

Twenty-two-year-old Rickland Bovell of Swan Village, Linden-Soesdyke Highway, was committed to stand High Court trial for the murder of David Toney. Toney, 18, was killed during an argument over the non-payment for the transport of cabbage in April 2019. Eleven Guyanese will soon be departing Guyana’s shores for studies in the United Kingdom (UK) after they were selected for the Chevening scholarship this year.
