A prisoner who was expected to appear at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts for the rape of a 16-year-old student died on Tuesday morning after he was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPHC) by ranks after he began vomiting in the Police lockups. G$21M fine, 4 years jail for driver in massive Berbice drug bust

A taxi driver was, on Tuesday, jailed for four years and fined G$21.7 million when he appeared at the Blairmont Magistrate’s Court and pleaded guilty to the charge of trafficking in narcotics.
