Twenty-eight-year-old Afabian Yankana and Akeem Yamar, charged for the murder of carpenter Raul Rodriguez, who was stabbed to death in front of Demico House, Georgetown in January 2017, were on Monday committed by City Magistrate Judy Latchman to stand trial in the High Court. 3 remanded for trafficking narcotics

Three men were on Wednesday refused bail when they appeared at the Fort Wellington Magistrate’s Court on two separate charges of trafficking in narcotics. The three men are Devash Reshiram, Anthony Carmichael, and Leon Burnet. They allegedly had a total of 18.6 kilograms (41 pounds) of marijuana on Monday in two separate incidents. Reshiram was charged with one offence while Carmichael and Burnet were jointly charged for the other. Campbellville couple nabbed with cocaine in home

A Craig Street, Campbellville, Georgetown couple are now in the custody of the Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit (CANU) following the discovery of over one kilogram of cocaine in their home.
