Several key Hinterland roads to be rehabilitated by year-end – MPI

A number of hinterland road projects will be completed by year-end, Ministry of Public Infrastructure’s Senior Hinterland Officer, Jeffrey Walcott disclosed. The lifeless body of a biker had to be pulled from under a rice truck on Monday afternoon after he reportedly lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into the truck at Mahaicony, East Coast Demerara (ECD). A 50-year-old man died in the wee hours of Monday morning on the Land of Canaan Public Road, East Bank Demerara (EBD), after his car was involved in a collision with an oncoming vehicle.
