A two-billion-dollar revetment programme is being proposed for the mining town of Linden, Region Ten. According to Mayor of Linden, Carwyn Holland, such a programme is needed to address the effects of climate change on the town. Exxon Mobil Corporation on Thursday announced it has made a fifth new oil discovery after drilling the Turbot-1 well offshore Guyana. Turbot is ExxonMobil’s latest discovery to date in the country, adding to previous discoveries at Liza, Payara, Snoek and Liza Deep.
