A fatal accident involving several motor vehicles and a motorcycle in Linden, Region 10 (Upper Demerara-Berbice) on Sunday evening has resulted in the death of 28-year-old Wilbert Sydney, an ambulance driver attached to the Linden Hospital Complex (LHC). Kitty woman remanded for narco trafficking

A woman who was reportedly caught with 341.8 grams of cannabis was on Monday remanded to prison when she appeared before Magistrate Judy Latchman. Michelle Moonwick, of Lot 226 Garnett Street, Kitty, Georgetown, denied the charge when it was read to her at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts. 20-year-old Wesley Morvin Patoir, also called ‘Bucky,’ a mechanic of Kwakwani Park in Region 10 (Upper Demerara- Berbice), was reportedly crushed by a truck in vicinity of the Kurubuku Mines, situated between Aroaima and Kwakwani, on Monday at approximately 15 hours. Decomposing body: PME shows miner died from typhoid, malaria

A post-mortem examination revealed that 35-year-old Kevin Dawson, whose partially decomposed body was found in his Cummings Lodge, East Coast Demerara home on Monday, died as a result of malaria and typhoid.
