The use of force in crime prevention

Dear Editor, The crime rate in Guyana continues to escalate and our opposition continues to condemn all measures proposed to help battle crime. Under a guise of being concerned about a seemingly bad police force and human rights violations, it has become apparent that the opposition parties are not supporting anti-crime measures implemented by government. Many of the members of the Guyana’s Police Force (GPF) try their best to perform their duties with dedication and integrity.
