Agriculture Ministry moves to resuscitate Tapakuma cassava industry

The Agriculture Ministry will be providing technical support to the Amerindian community of Tapakuma on the Essequibo Coast as it seeks to resuscitate the cassava processing facility there which has been out of operation for the past three years. Queenstown mosque opens for Ramadan

The historic Queenstown mosque has reopened its doors to worshippers for the month of Ramadan, although the new building is just about 60 per cent completed. Archaeologist attached to the Boise State University, Dr Mark Plew on Tuesday disclosed that 13 new archaeological sites have been found in the Rupununi Savannah, Region Nine.
