Cocaine worth US$ 72,500 found in Jamaica-bound vessel

Agents of the Customs and Drug Enforcement Unit last Friday night made a 2.5 kilogrammes (kg) drug bust at the John Fernandes Wharf during a routine inspection of an intransit vessel. According to information reaching Guyana Times International, the bust was made on a container vessel around 21: 30h. Customs officers were conducting routine inspections when the cocaine was found between two containers.
