The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) approved the Caribbean Hotel Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Action – Advanced Programme (CHENACT- AP), a US$ 2 million grant to help the tourism sector in Barbados, Jamaica, The Bahamas, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Belize, Haiti, Dominican Republic and Guyana to become more energy efficient.
