The 20-member Cabinet team appointed by President Donald Ramotar on Monday have all promised to make their respective ministries as efficient and effective as possible so that all Guyanese can benefit. More than 250 residents of Cane Grove, East Coast Demerara were on Tuesday promised titled land once they cooperate with the Housing Ministry to regularise the squatter settlement there. Channa bombs lobbed at Lumumba’s home

Two molotov cocktails (channa bombs) were on Monday morning thrown at the house of former presidential adviser on empowerment, Odinga Lumumba. The incident occurred at approximately 02:30h at Lumumba’s Kiskadee Drive, Meadow Brook residence. According to police spokesman, Ivelaw Whittaker, the devices struck the bottom western wall of the home, resulting in a small fire that scorched the wall which was extinguished by the security guard on duty. Cops open fire on APNU protestors
