2011 will be a Mash to remember

With many memorable concerts and events under its belt, including the “Machel for Mash” show which some believe was the highlight of the 2010 Mashramani festivities and one of the best concerts ever, Hits and Jams is truly a tour de force of the local entertainment world.

No one can dispute that the Hits and Jams Entertainment team has the capability to deliver on its promise to provide the highest level of entertainment for the Guyanese public, which is anticipating a superb programme of activities for the observance of Guyana’s 41st Republic Anniversary.

And the Hits and Jams team has promised that Mash 2011 will be the talk of many after it has staged the many activities it has planned for the festivities.

The Hits and Jams team has opted to provide Guyanese with not one, but five weeks of back-to-back activities for Mashramani 2011.

One of the Hits and Jams directors, Kerwin Bollers, disclosed that the team opted to create a new concept this year in an effort to activate the mood of merriment and revelry with which is intends to infect Guyanese with the spirit of Mash celebrations for 2011.

The entertainment group will feature a different activity every weekend at the Hits and Jams Mash Camp, at the GNS Ground located on Carifesta Avenue.

The roster of events includes several thrilling concept parties. The first event, which will set the pace for the others to follow, is the “Mash Crank Up”, featuring Barbadian soca star Edwin Year- wood and his band, Krosfyah. This event will be held on January 29.

Other events that will definitely put people in the party mood are the “Jeans Party”, slated for February 5; followed by “Colors Party”, which will be held on February 12. “Ladies First” will be held on February 18, while the most anticipated party of them all – “All White Edition” — is set for February 22.

The main activity, expected to be a definite “banger”, is the HJ Mash Day Float Band, which will be followed by a “Mash Night Super Concert”. After all the merriment and partying, the fun culminates with the “Mash Wash Down” at the Splashmin’s Fun Park on February 27.

So, party people, be prepared for the call to action.
