– Seebarran urges Kuru Kuru Training College students
Miss India Worldwide 2012, Alana Seebarran was recently the guest speaker at a Culture, Youth and Sport Ministry event held at the Kuru Kuru Training College on the Soesdyke/Linden Highway.
Seebarran in her address, urged the more than 200 young people to never leave room for obstacles to be in the way in the pursuit of their dreams, noting that the only obstacles they face are doubt and fear of failure. She further encouraged the youths to overcome their fear with perseverance and confidence.
During the motivational speech, Seebarran told the gathering that each person serves a purpose on earth, and it is so admirable that despite challenges due to misfortune and difficult circumstances, they have made a wise decision to put their best foot forward and pursue dreams and careers.
“Life is all about second chances, and I felt so honoured to be a part of this exercise, and more so to gain the experience. I am certain that you will take in the messages that I have imparted in you today and use it as a weapon to be successful in life,” the beauty queen added.
She further stated that the moments she shared with the youths will strengthen “us Guyanese with one mission in mind; that is to live in peace and harmony”. “I am so proud to be an ambassador for this country,” a charming Seebarran said, referring to her trip to Suriname, where she won the coveted Miss India Worldwide title.
“Our youths are the future of tomorrow who will be our ambassadors and future presidents and ministers of government, and I am certain that you understand this, and will try to make a difference for the betterment of Guyana,” she added.
